What's On in Temecula Valley This Weekend (Oct. 16 to 18)
Rose Haven's 35th anniversary, Friday Night Bites, Everclear at South Coast Winery and more across Temecula, Murrieta and Wildomar.

If you pick one thing this weekend, make it the Rose Haven Heritage Garden's 35th anniversary in Temecula. It runs all three days, with a ribbon cutting on Friday, a family day on Saturday and an afternoon of art, music and poetry on Sunday. Around it: the monthly Friday Night Bites food festival, the second weekend of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" in Old Town, a Sunday night Everclear concert at South Coast Winery, a Wildomar fall fair on Saturday night and a free Saturday movie afternoon at the Murrieta library. The Temecula Greek Festival is at the Promenade mall all three days, and pumpkin season at Peltzer farm is running too.
Suggested weekend plan
Friday, Oct. 16: Go to the Rose Haven ribbon cutting at 11:30 a.m. Eat dinner at Friday Night Bites at the MSJC Temecula Valley Campus (5 to 9 p.m.), or book the Chef's Series Dinner at Leoness Cellars (5:30 p.m.). The Friday show of "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" starts at 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 17: Walk the Old Town farmers market in the morning, then head to Rose Haven for Families in the Garden (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.). In Murrieta, the library's free movie afternoon is 2 to 4 p.m. For the evening, pick the Fall Family Fun Fair in Wildomar (7 to 10 p.m.) or Rock the Rosé at Danza del Sol (4 to 8 p.m.).
Sunday, Oct. 18: Take it easy with free live music at Thornton Winery (noon to 4 p.m.), then Rose Haven's art, music and poetry afternoon (1 to 4 p.m.). Finish with Everclear at South Coast Winery (doors 6 p.m., show 7 p.m.).
